More than 40 years of experience in sterile processing recommend STELZER Rührtechnik. We do not just use standard solutions but consistently apply individual adaptations and further developments that put our agitators ahead of competing products.

The advantages of STELZER Rührtechnik for biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry applications is based on the use of highly efficient axial, radial and counter-current impellers. The agitators are available as top or bottom-entry units with optimally low or high shear rates. Top and bottom-entry systems with sterile mechanical seals as well as supply systems are currently in high demand. A separate product line for gentle homogenising and suspension based on magnetic agitators installed at the bottom has developed as an alternative to using seals. Gassed agitators for fermenters with standard turbines and in-house developed gassing turbines are also available. We calculate the most important parameters in the agitation process on request: Mixing times and pH value, temperature settings, homogeneous substrate distribution, heat exchange with internal structures and the tank wall or oxygen transfer rate with calculation of the kLa and OTR parameters. Mechanical stress calculations as well as calculations of forces and torques on agitator vessels and internal structures can be performed with consideration of the gassing rates and the specific power input.

Agitation processes require individual adaptations

STELZER Rührtechnik relies on verification, prevention and further development through computer simulations and tests in the in-house laboratory to ensure optimal results. Individual solutions in close cooperation with our customers are safely based on detailed analyses (also in the field of rheology). System solutions often allow the replacement of old methods by more economical methods.

Product wetted parts can be delivered in all available stainless steel types, alloy qualities, nickel, nickel alloys or titanium. Surface qualities span from Ra 0.8 to Ra 0.2 – grinded and electro-polished.
