“Heavy duty” central agitators that are installed from the top or from the bottom have proven their worth in the field of hydrometallurgy. STELZER Rührtechnik does not just use standard solutions but consequently applies individual adaptations and further developments that put our agitators ahead of competing products.

Central agitators or agitators for columns installed from the top can be equipped with free overhang shafts or shaft deflection limiter. Top or bottom agitators can also equipped with fast change device that allows an exchange of seals while the tank is full. Stelzer Rührtechnik calculates the agitators and their axial forces, bending and torque already in the design phase, unlike conventional systems that are more prone to faults. The harmonic resonance frequencies (critical rotation speeds) are eliminated from the working range of the agitator by design.

We develop process-optimised agitator concepts for top or bottom installations, depending on the agitated product and the tank size. Special turbines are available for combining the agitating tasks of gassing and suspension. Also bottom agitators with power up to 300 kW are possible.

A combination of axial flow systems with bottom scrapers is optimal for blending and suspension agitation tasks. Your advantage: Large tanks can be almost emptied while still being agitated and bottom deposits can be efficiently avoided.

Agitation processes require individual adaptations

Stelzer Rührtechnik relies on verification, prevention and further development through computer simulations and tests in the in-house laboratory to ensure optimal results. Individual solutions in close cooperation with our customers are safely based on detailed analyses (also in the field of rheology). System solutions often allow the replacement of old methods by more economical methods.

Product wetted parts are generally available in stainless steel, nickel, all nickel alloys or appropriate titanium qualities depending on the process step.
